Immediate Past Governor Jason Stewart, of the College of Wooster, was elected 2009-10 President of Circle K International on Friday, August 7th at their International Convention in Birmingham, Alabama.
Circle K International (CKI) is the largest collegiate community service, leadership development and friendship organization in the world. With more than 11,000 members in 17 nations, CKI is making a positive impact on the world every day.
Jason began his Kiwanis Family service with the Salem High School Key Club. where he served as Lieutenant Governor for Division 17. Upon graduation, Jason enrolled at the College of Wooster and soon joined their Circle K Club. Jason was elected Lieutenant Governor of the North Central Division in February of 2007 and was elected Governor for a full term at the 2008 District Convention in February of 2008.
Jason is the fifth Ohio District Circle K member to be elected International President. The other four are as follows:
- 1953-54 Kenneth B. Creasey of Ohio Wesleyan University
- 1959-60 Robert A. Maxwell of Ohio Wesleyan University
- 1980-81 Tom Andrews of Wright State University
- 1991-92 Dave Pilati of Bowling Green State University
