District HappeningsPosted by lmartin in Untagged |

I got back a while ago from my first official visit. I want to thank Division 21 and LTG. Jerry Osborne for their hospitality. Marge and I enjoyed hearing about all of the great service that Division 21 is doing for their community. They are committed to growing the service that they provide.
We have some very important happenings in our district that are coming up very soon. You need to mark these on your calendar as must attend. First of all, International President Dave Curry will be visiting us over a two day period. Here is his schedule:
Friday, Oct. 19 – Noon at the Youngstown Kiwanis Club meeting. Let the club know if you plan on attending.
Saturday, Oct. 20 – 9:00 AM is the 10K walk along the Towpath Trail of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This is a fundraiser for the First Lady’s Project and for President Dave’s Children of the World Project. More information and sponsor forms are on this website.
Saturday, Oct. 20 – 6:00 PM is an informal bar-b-que dinner in Plain City out side of Columbus. Information and sign up forms are also on this website.
Saturday, Oct. 27 – Make A Difference Day is a local project. Check with your club president or your Lt. Governor to see if there is an event in your area. District Chair Dale Leach has worked hard in organizing the program and looks forward to the reports on your successes.
I am proud to tell everyone I am a Kiwanian. We do so much for the children and for our communities. Show your pride. Invite someone to your next meeting. Better yet, ask someone to your next meeting and to join Kiwanis.
